Jim Miller's setup for Into The Woods at the Laurel Highland's High School in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
Jim's write-up and gear list below photos.
Jim:
"I've been playing musicals in Southwest Pennsylvania for 30 years for numerous high schools and community theatres. This set-up for Laurel Highlands High School's 2017 production of Into The Woods features a number of orchestral as well as electronic percussion instruments.
Because our 'pit' is in front of the stage on floor level I try to be sensitive to how tall the set-up gets. In addition, we had a relatively large orchestra so floor space was an issue as well. For these reasons, I sampled the different chimes and timpani tones on different pads in my Roland SPD-SX.
Of course I am super grateful to my wife for getting me The Miller Machine as a Christmas gift. This was my first show using it and I love it!"
