As a session and touring percussionist, looking for the next best thing is a daily habit. I found this machine and now it goes with me everywhere! The Miller Machine is worth every penny and then some!!!
Henry! Thank you, this is awesome, glad you like it! Billy
A very helpful add on and tool to use with my bongos and conga set.
Thank you Ted! Glad you got your Machine setup and working for you. Billy
It is absolutely perfect for every percussionist. It is so amazing and it can be played very differently in attack and dynamic.
Just perfect!
Thank you for your kind words Christian! I'm glad the Triangle Machine is working out for you. Billy
We are using it for our school's musical and I wish I purchased one years ago. Great tool for the small space.
Love this! Thank you Ryan! Billy
What is a good stand to mount the Miller Machine too.
Hi Ted,
I've got a page on the site listing a bunch of mounts that'll work with your Miller Machine. Here's the link.

Also, any mount that'll hold a 3/8' rod will work, and that's most of the ones that're available.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have all four of the handheld brass triangle beaters that Billy makes. They're all great. The smallest is super delicate, but with a sturdier handle than you'd expect. The middle two sizes are great all-around beaters, and the 1/2" is as heavy as you would ever need. The brass makes the attack just a little bit mellower than steel beaters.
Wonderful, thanks for leaving a review Rob! I appreciate your input. Billy
This is my third Miller Machine and I'm so impressed with all of the improvements: the 90°-135° tilt, safety cable, sliding beater position, build quality, etc. I didn't think the original Miller Machines were in need of improvement because they were already excellent...but, wow, you're probably going to need one of these ASAP. My first machine went on the North American tour of Hairspray (226 performances) and I never had a single problem with it, I never had to change the plastic ties! I've used it and the finger cymbal machine hundreds of times - they just make life as a percussionist so much more convenient and consistent - perfect tone every time.
Thank you Troy! And glad the Machines have held up so well for you. Billy
I use both the triangle and finger cymbal Miller Machines. They are excellent for theater work and other multi-percussion gigs. Highly recommended!
Thanks for your positive feedback Thomas! I'm glad the Machines are working out for you! Billy
No surprises here. Billy consistently produces high quality professional items and at a price point that doesn't break the bank. These are some of the best triangle beaters for my orchestral/wind band needs when I'm not in pit musician mode with the usual miller machines. The various sizes let me get all the nuances for whatever the piece/conductor calls for. Also the Starburst candy with 2 pinks was an added bonus.
Thank you Mike, I appreciate all your support!!! Billy
Sal here, writing in from the current Addams Family National Tour.
I decided to upgrade to the new Horizontal Mount and Machine Plus body. Until Billy comes up with something else, I think this is the apex of Miller Machines. Not that there’s anything wrong with the previous models. This is my third machine now, and I will still be using the others.
For this gig, I needed the flexibility that the horizontal mount provided — giving the potential to hang two triangles, a finger cymbal, and hold beaters. That paired with the Machine Plus body makes this a killer combo and a must have for any professional.
I’ve also been experimenting with the new beaters. I really love the sounds I’ve been getting out of them so far. They make my Black Swamp triangle sing with beautiful overtones, and there’s enough variety in the set to cover many different situations. Definitely grab some of these!
Thank you Sal!!! Have a great time on tour! Billy
The Miller Machine’s innovative design was a game-changer in a recent cantata performance, enabling the musician to effortlessly play multiple parts. Its thoughtful functionality took the stress out of switching instruments, allowing for a seamless, expressive performance. Plus, the customer service was top-notch, ensuring a smooth experience from start to finish.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review Ron! Billy
Horizontal Machine
Thank you Howard! Billy
These are simply the best. Great tone, good balance, good looking, and durable. Sure beats cutting my own from pieces of steel rods at the hardware store
Thank you Ron, glad you like the new beaters! Billy
The Miller Machine ROCKS!!!!!!
Thanks for leaving a review Darcy, great to hear from you! Billy
I’ve been meaning to get one of these for a while. Takes the stress out of those quick triangle notes. Perfect
Glad you finally got one Simon, and thank you for leaving a review! Billy
I’m a pit musician for a Middle school theater group and as a once a year gig, it’s not typically a high pressure situation but this year it crept up on me and I needed a solution for a show with a lot of triangle/snare/hi hat combos and the Miller Machine delivered perfectly. Precise 8th notes with brushes or sticks; I never missed a beat. I highly recommend it! You won’t be disappointed!
Thank you David! I really appreciate your support! Billy
I needed another Miller Machine (because why not??) for a production of Mary Poppins and I got the "flame" edition just for fun. I have one of the earlier models so the updated triangle mount, suspension system, and the Stoessel-type beater are all excellent upgrades!!
Love it! Thank you Mark! Billy
I have 2 Miller Machines and love them! I got a new set of triangle beaters (Steel) at PASIC. Had a great conversation with Billy and he also gave me a round brass beater at no charge - it turned out to be perfect for The Nutcracker just a few weeks later!
Thanks Billy for your personal service and great, simple and effective products!!
Thank you Brian! So nice to meet you at PASIC, I'm glad all the new gear is working out for you! Billy
phenomenal!
Thank you for the review Ben! Great to meet you at PASIC this year! Billy
It's awesome! I looked like quite the genius with the Miller Machine in my setup for Little Shop of Horrors. I kept trying to dampen the beater, though, out of habit. Damp the thing you just hit...
Thank you for your positive review Patty, I apprecite it! Billy
I'd seen glowing reviews for the Miller Machine on Facebook for years. I finally purchased one for my current musical theater production which calls for extremely quick triangle cues while play drum kit. The Miller Machine has been a life saver! I no longer need to fumble with trying to quickly grab a beater and I can now effortlessly weave in my triangle parts with the rest of my setup. I couldn't recommend it more!
Josh! Thank you for this wonderful review! Billy
Wish this machine was available when I started playing shows back in the 70s. An absolute game changer. Thanks for your ingenuity! Highly recommend the upgrade to the brass beater.
Glad you like it Danny, better late than never :) And thank you for your support! Billy
I love my Miller Machine! I use it all the times for Musicals, concert band performances, and percussion ensemble pieces. Its a great part of any aspiring percussionists’ toolkit.
Thanks for leaving this wonderful review Mike! Great to meet you at PASIC. Billy
Yes! An essential for any pit percussionist.
Thank you Jesse! Billy
The Miller Machine is the single most useful piece of gear available when playing musical theatre. It allows sensitive and expressive playing at any dynamic level, using sticks, mallets, or even just your fingers. How did we ever manage before the Miller Machine?? Every percussionist needs one (or two or three)!
John, thank you for your continued support, and leaving this awesome review! Billy
