Dan Haskins' set up for the Broadway Production of The King and I at Lincoln Center in New York City.
Dan's write-up and gear list below photos.
"In the show the music for the 'Small House of Uncle Thomas' ballet, written by dance arranger Trude Rittmann in 1951, features prominent percussion parts. The score calls for actors on stage to play various drums, blocks, gongs, cymbals, and finger cymbals. I am playing a lot of these 'ethnic' percussion parts also in the pit including Rumwong, and Klong Yao drums from Thailand.
The list of instruments I use is below. The most important is the Roc-N-Soc Lunar Series Gas Stool. This stool goes low enough for the drum set and high enough for the timpani. The stool has glides on the feet for a quick 'push back' from the drum set to stand up or spin around, up or down."
